All our sites utilise the weighted search block in the sitewide search. This allows you to define a collection of scores to make your search more relevant. The search considers exact and partial matches for the following:
- Page Title
- Page Description
- Page Content (inc page attributes)
- Page URL
- File Name
- File Description
- File attributes
Whilst you can customise the results and weightings, we find most of our clients don't need to. The key to getting good results is to have clear, concise page names and also to add a Description to the page composer. Alternative texts and names can also added in the page composer, under SEO and meta tags.
